The illusion of learning. Do you account for the differences that exist under conditions of learning and testing when revising? Dr Paul Penn explains why you should when studying. Get more free, accessible, evidence-based advice on his Psychology of Effective Studying YouTube channel.

 

How to

The online exam tool. The tool used to do exams last semester may be used again. Changes have been made to it since, so we thought it might be useful to post the updated video walkthrough. If used, up-to-date information will be provided on the Exams web pages to support you.

 

Opportunities and events

Introducing PDMS. Browse and book onto (if required) internal training courses using PDMS. The two briefing sessions listed below are on PDMS, but booking isn’t required for either.

Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification briefing. Prove and develop your Microsoft Office skills through the MOS scheme. Learn at your own pace using the training materials provided, and when ready, sit the exam to earn your globally recognised industry standard certification.

Professional Skills Curriculum (PSC) briefing. Develop essential skills to boost your employability through the PSC scheme. Complete the programme and gain a PSC Award, which is recognised on your HEAR degree transcript and endorsed by the Institute of Learning and Management.
