In Welcome Week, the project team attended a number of committee meetings and briefing sessions to raise awareness of the Academic Calendar consultation project. We presented variously to Directors of Teaching, Directors of Postgraduate Research, and Directors of Postgraduate Taught programmes, as well as to the Central Equality, Diversity and Inclusion committee (CEDI) and the Student Experience Strategic Management Group (SESMG). On Friday, along with other colleagues from the Decanal team, we spoke to School Presidents about the project and how they and the students they represent can have their say. More information about the project was shared in In the Loop as well as via Students’ Association communications.

During Week 1, we will publish a recorded Q&A between the Students’ Association Director of Education, and the University’s VP Education (Proctor) and Director of Student Experience. We’ll also be presenting to the Service Directors Group and speaking to student representatives at EduComm. Expect to also see more hard copy materials around campus with information about how to have your say.

To find out more about the models of the academic year we’re putting forward for feedback and to have your say by completing the survey, please take a look at last week’s news item: Action requested: Academic calendar review – consultation opportunity (sharepoint.com).
